An hour from Vienna International Airport, Gut Brunntar is located on the edge of the eastern Alps in the heart of Austria which is an American friendly and safe place. Comprised of over 2000 acres and whether you like to stand, stalk or want to enjoy one of our traditional driven hunts, we have it all. Red Stag, Fallow deer, Mouflon Sheep, Russian Boar & Roebuck compromise our core animals. Ask about a few of our world class animals that we have available as well. Austrian hunts have deep traditional roots and to experience the blessing of the hunt in our chapel and the melody of the animal taken is part of the Austrian hunting experience. Arriving at the airport depending on your party size, you will be picked up by our Mercedes E500 or Volkswagen Limo with the ability to accommodate 8 hunters per trip. This is the beginning of where luxury meets nature. At the base of the mountain which is an hour from the airport, your experience begins here. Half way up the mountain you will encounter a small town where many of our employees of Gut Brunntal live. They are vital in maintaining operations at the lodge especially during winter. When you get to the base of the lodge look around at our mountains and pines, you will enter when considering accommodations and hunting, a place second to none in all of Europe. Our mountains top out at 4000 ft and at the top of the mountains is where the wild game live. Enjoy the view of the mountains and valleys of the European Alps. Notice that our lodge overlooks a stocked lake and ask about catching some of our grain fed trout & grayling. Have the cook add this to your lunch or dinner menu. In the adjacent lands we have access to wonderful streams with fly fishing opportunities for rainbow, brown and lake trout. Native to Austria we also have access to Char and Grayling. Ask about the opportunity for our largest freshwater fish the Huchen. Entering our 3 story lodge on the second floor you will be surrounded by mounts of animals that are available within our lands. The living room has a large flat screen TV with 3 Satellites and access to your favorite fall sports. High speed internet as well. Fireplace of course, and inside as well as outside dining. Our bar contains everything from Beer, Jack Daniels & Johnny Walker Blue Label to Red, white wines & Dom Perignon.
